EXXCEL Breaks Ground on Yaskawa Motoman Robotics Headquarters
300,000-square-foot facility is first Dayton project for design-build firm


COLUMBUS – EXXCEL Project Management, a leading design-build firm in Columbus, announced the groundbreaking of the 300,000-square-foot Robotics Division Global headquarters/manufacturing facility for Yaskawa America Inc.’s Motoman Robotics division in Miamisburg, a suburb of Dayton. The project, EXXCEL’s first in the Dayton area, is scheduled to be completed in May. The facility, located at the northwest corner of I-75 and Austin Boulevard, will feature 85,000 square feet of corporate office space and approximately 215,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and will employ approximately 250-275. Motoman Robotics is a leading industrial robotics developer and manufacturer. Its products are used in the automotive, food processing and distribution industries, among others. “EXXCEL is excited to be entering the Dayton market, and hopes to build more projects in that area,” said Doug Reardon, EXXCEL president. In addition to the Motoman Robotics’ groundbreaking, EXXCEL is nearing completion of a new industrial processing facility in North Baltimore, Ohio, and a warehouse expansion for S.P. Richards Co., a leading business products wholesaler, at Rickenbacker Area Industrial Park in Columbus. Recently EXXCEL completed a 500,000-square-foot addition for commercial real estate developer Kirco at the Center Point Business Park in Columbus.
